Q: How to transfer a call to another extension

A: (Siemens and Mitel) press "HOLD" and dial the extension number

Q: How to return to a held call if extension busy or no answer

A: (Siemens) Display reads "Return to held call?" press tick or the slow flashing "CALL KEY".
A: (Mitel) press call key which will be flashing on page 1 of your display

Q: My telephone doesn't work

A: (Siemens and Mitel) try swapping with a similar handset

Q: My fax is running through the telephone system but I can't dial out on it or it seems to call reception

A: (Siemens and Mitel) Make sure you are dialing with the line access code; in general this would be a 9

Q: The area I am in is prone to power cuts, does the telephone system support an external UPS (uninterrupted power supply)

A: (Siemens and Mitel) Yes; the length of time it will remain working will depend on the type of UPS

Q: My headset has stopped working

A: (Siemens and Mitel) replace batteries

Q: (Siemens) My telephone keeps ringing other extensions without me touching my telephone

A: You may have inadvertently set-up a callback. To remove this, dial #58 to show set callbacks and cancel

Q: (Siemens) How do I change the time on the telephone system?

A: On the main display telephone, press the program/service key, dial *95*95 tick, then tick again, next dial 12, and press* input the correct time DDMMYY and press tick, once completed you'll hear a confirmation beep. Press the program/service key again to return to normal use.

Q: (Siemens) how do I park a call?

A: Press CALL PARK and enter a park number 0-9. If you don't have a programmed CALL PARK key, press the Service Menu key, scroll down using the →key to *56 call park? press tick enter a park number between 0-9 and replace handset

Q: (Siemens) How do I pick up a call within a pickup group?

A: Press CALL PICK UP key or press tick when display reads "call pick up?"

A: Siemens - max 5 parties, whilst connected to first caller press → until display reads "set up conference?", tick, dial number of next call, when connected to next call, display will read "Conference?" press tick to join.
A: Mitel - Dial the first person you want to be in the call and press the transfer key. The first person will be on hold and you will hear dial tone. Dial the next contact and when they answer, press the transfer key again to activate the conference.

1 A: Dial *** followed by the extension number and then the Super Key or Hold Key depending on the type of handset (either Super or Hold Key will be displayed on the handset)
